Kids Fish Free Day  June 11th, 2022                  9:00 am to 1:00 pm            Miller Island on Clinch River

The Clinch River Chapter is hosting its Kids Fish Free Day (KFFD) on Saturday, June 11 at the Miller Island boat access on the Clinch River in Norris. It’s open to all and admission is free. Children can fish, tie flies, ride in boats, eat hot dogs and sign up for door prizes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Clinch River Chapter will provide all the necessary rods, reels, waders and bait. KFFD will be held rain or shine; only lightning will prevent us from enjoying the day. As always, the event will be coincides with the statewide Tennessee Free Fishing Day and our partners are the Tennessee Valley Authority and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
Miller Island boat access is on River Road just off Highway 441 in Norris. To get there from I-75, take Clinton/Norris Exit 122 and turn east; pass the Museum of Appalachia and turn left on Highway 441 toward Norris Dam; just past Island Home Baptist Church, turn left on River Road; drive about a quarter-mile and take the first right into the parking lot.
Clinch River Chapter TU works to preserve and protect the Clinch River tailwater and its watershed through conservation projects and through education of youth and adults in aquatic natural resources.  We want to welcome the TVA Retirees Association as our Sponsor for the Kids Fish Free Day. Through their generosity we are able to provide the opportunity to learn new skills, fish and gain an appreciation  for our natural resources .
